Simukai is a three-piece ensemble currently based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. They play traditional and modern South African and Zimbabwean music, in their own arrangements and with many of their own songs. Combining mbira, marimbas, flute, voice, djembe and other
percussive instruments, they produce a sound which is at times trance and at other times dance.
